NCLG Book Grant for Elementary/Beginning Latin Programs
The National Committee for Latin and Greek (NCLG) has established a fund for small grants--up to $300--to help beginning Latin programs purchase books or  purchase Materials from the the American Classical League's TMRC, including materials from Excellence Through Classics, which focuses on elementary and beginning programs. Teachers are invited to apply for book grants for newly created Latin programs, with preference given to elementary school programs.
Applications will be accepted until May 30.

A committee will review all applications received by May 30, and the awardees will be announced at the ACL Institute in June. Checks will be issued in July to allow for purchasing books before the start of the new school year.

If you are a TEACHER who is a member of the American Classical League or the Society for Classical Studies, you are eligible to apply.  If your grant request is approved, you agree to write a 200 - 300 word article about your program and how it helped to promote the study of Classics.  Articles with photos or lesson ideas may be published in the ACL Newsletter or may be posted on the NCLG website.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the NCLG Elementary School Chair, Zee Ann Poerio.
