Consider Teaching Latin in the 21st
Century
|
The original form of this
brochure was developed by Rick LaFleur at the University of
Georgia. Full-color glossy print versions are still available
from Tom Sienkewicz at
toms@monm.edu. A
scan/PDF file of the brochure can be found/printed from
Tom's previous CPL pages. A
black and white PDF version of this brochure is also
available, and perfect for quick printing and distributing.
There is also a poster with the same title,
also developed by Rick LaFleur. As with the brochure, the
full-color glossy poster is available from Tom Sienkewicz at
toms@monm.edu.

redesigned in 2004. The quotes within are
from real teachers who are members of the
Latinteach listserve.
If you were expecting such reasons as "June, July, and
August," you will be in for a big surprise. |
Secondary Considerations
|
This
brochure in PDF format was
also designed in 2003 for the first NLTRW. It contains
testimonials from individuals with PhD's who are teaching at
the secondary level and enjoying it tremendously.
|
What Do You Make?
|
This anonymous
flyer in PDF format can be a
good springboard for a discussion about the worth of teaching.
|
TCA Survey of Admissions Counselors
|
The
TCA Survey of Admissions Counselors,
in PDF format, was completed in 2002. Funded in part by the
ACL, this survey asked admission counselors at universities
all across the country their opinion about the study of Latin.
Attractively typeset, this set of flyers is something every
teacher should keep on hand to distribute to administrators,
parents, counselors, and the community in general.
