NCLG News

Pro Bono was originally the promotional newsletter of the National Committee for Latin and Greek. Currently NCLG news is now included in the ACL and APA newsletters and not as a separate publication.

Contributions to the NCLG's section of the winter issue of the ACL Newsletterare due by December 1 for the winter issue, March 1 for the spring issue, and August 1 for the fall issue.  For best results, submit text in MS Word and photos in jpeg format. Let's exchange news of current trends and promotional strategies to help keep our profession strong.

Starting with the winter issue, the ACL Newsletter will appear in electronic format, rather than as a mailed journal.  The purpose of the NCLG's section of the  newsletter is to help teachers of Latin, Greek and Classics stay at the forefront of the language teaching profession with news of timely professional issues, language policy and pending legislation.  It publicizes promotional projects of individuals and groups that help strengthen the position of classical studies in the schools and universities. Articles about Latin in the news are also welcome.  This section will offer brief, timely, and useful information to teachers at all levels of instruction.

Teachers and newsletter editors of classical organizations are welcome to reprint any notice, article or news item from the NCLG News section that is not designated as copyrited material.  Mention of the NCLG as the source of the item would be appreciated.
